Step-by-step instructions
Kneel and sit back on your heels in Thunderbolt, resting a folded blanket between your calves and thighs if your knees feel any pinch.
Lengthen up through the crown of your head and rest your hands lightly on your thighs to find a tall, even spine.
On an exhale, twist gently to the right, bringing your left hand to your right knee and your right hand behind you.
Keep your hips grounded evenly on both heels and twist from the mid-back, keeping your lower back long rather than over-arching.
Hold for 3 to 5 breaths, lengthening on each inhale and deepening the gentle twist on each exhale.
Inhale back to center, then repeat the twist to the left side.
