Step-by-step instructions
Begin in Child's pose, knees together or apart, hips settling back toward your heels and arms stretched forward on the mat.
Walk both hands to the right until you feel a gentle stretch along the left side of your body.
Thread your left arm underneath your right, sliding it across the mat so your left shoulder and cheek lower toward the floor.
If kneeling feels sharp on your knees, place a folded blanket under them, and keep your hips heavy toward your heels throughout.
Breathe slowly into the twist for 5 to 8 breaths, letting your upper back and chest open with each exhale.
Press back to center, switch your arms, and repeat the thread to the other side.
