Step-by-step instructions
Set up in Chair pose with knees bent and hips sinking back, keeping a steady micro-bend so your knees stay safe under the load.
Press your palms together at your chest, then exhale and hook your left elbow outside your right thigh to enter the twist.
Keep your knees even and your tailbone lengthening down, twisting from the ribcage so your lower back stays long and unstrained.
Extend your top arm toward the ceiling and bottom arm toward the floor in one long line, opening your chest toward the side wall.
Hold for 3 to 5 breaths, gazing up past your top hand while keeping your core engaged and hips level.
Inhale your hands back to your chest, rise to standing, and repeat on the opposite side.
