Step-by-step instructions
Sit in a comfortable cross-legged position with your hips stacked over your sit bones and your spine tall.
If your knees float high or your back rounds, lift your seat onto a folded blanket so your hips stay above your knees and your lower body feels relaxed.
Interlace your fingers behind your back and gently straighten your arms, then draw your knuckles down and back to open across your chest.
Roll your shoulders down and back without forcing the bind, keeping a soft, comfortable range so your shoulder joints stay safe, and breathe into the front of your chest.
Hold for 4 to 6 slow breaths, lifting tall through the crown of your head as the chest expands.
To exit, release your hands, shake out your arms, and switch the cross of your legs before repeating on the other side.
