Step-by-step instructions
Stand tall in a forward fold with your feet about hip-width apart and parallel.
Exhale and hinge from your hips to fold forward, then hook your first two fingers around each big toe.
Keep a soft micro-bend in your knees and lengthen your spine forward to protect your lower back, never rounding to reach the floor.
On an inhale lift your chest and lengthen the spine, then on the exhale gently draw your torso toward your legs using your arms.
Soften your neck and let the crown of your head drop while keeping the hips stacked over the ankles.
Hold for 5 to 8 slow breaths, then release your toes and rise up slowly with a flat back to come out safely.
