How Yogin works: live pose detection through your camera
At the heart of Yogin is one idea: a coach that can see your practice. While your phone camera watches, the app tracks your body joints live — shoulders, hips, knees, wrists. The geometry of those points tells it which pose you are in and how well you are holding it.
All of this happens on the device. The camera feed never leaves your phone and is never uploaded; what gets analysed is the skeleton geometry, not the image. Privacy here is not a setting — it is the architecture.
Spoken coaching follows the same principle: every pose has authored entry, alignment, deepening and exit lines, played as pre-rendered natural voice clips. A scheduler decides which line is spoken when, based on how long you hold — a 30-second hold hears a short narration, a 90-second one earns deeper guidance.
In Quick Burn, the camera counts your reps: for movements like crunches, squats and planks, your limb has to genuinely arrive at the target — small wobbles never count. And if you do not know a movement, the app explains it the moment you get into position.
Yogin’s platform clients are being rolled out gradually. The homepage links to a live store listing when one is configured; otherwise, it offers platform-specific early access. See our FAQ for common questions.
